crow reference sheet

ahhhhh... my bird boi. still working on developing him, but this is what i have s far! an edit list will be at the bottom for when i add more to his character!

species: demon (sworn-in, a species of demon that are, well, sworn i through deals made with from-births, which are explained in the backstory. theres more to them, and i will probably make a journal about both demon specie)

strengths: very good senses, emotional (aka he can get himself out of a really bad situation if he acts out the right emotion at the time)
weaknesses: blindness, experiences emotions maybe a little too strongly (practically embodies them, it can get very out of hand)

personality: he's a huge sweetheart, but can seem like the "strong and silent" type at first

backstory: crow was born a normal human baby, with the name oliver smith. his mother and father loved him with all their hearts, and took as much time off of their jobs as they could to be with him. as 'oliver' entered preschool, his parents realized he was completely color blind, unable to see any colors with any shades of the three primary colors. though, he was able to see blue the most (only a faint tint of it, whereas his sight was completely void of any other colors). because of this, 'oliver' got bullied all throughout his elementary and middle school years, being teased when he guessed a color wrong, or wore clothes that didn't completely match. his parents encouraged him to continue public school, saying that he would make it through it, and that they were so proud of him for how far he had gotten.

at the beginning of high school was when he fully realized that he was pan, and was teased even more because of it. 'oliver' eventually had enough and skipped school, running out after his first hour ended. he ran as far from the sight of his high school as he could, full out sobbing at this point. he soon sat down at a small park, plopping down on a bench. after a while, 'oliver' noticed a deer across the park, which seemed to be slowly making its way over to him. when it did, it turned in a humanoid figure, with full, pale green eyes, no pupil, nothing. 'oliver' stared at the being in shock, completely forgetting about why he was at the park in the first place. then, the deer shapeshifter spoke. 

"Hello. My name is Doe, and I noticed you were crying. I can help you with your problems, as long as you make a deal with me," 'oliver' nodded, wiping at his eyes, letting doe continue. "You must become like me, for at least three years. A demon who can shape shift into a chosen animal. Once those three years are up, your problems will be solved, and you'll be back to normal. If you would state your problems, we can make the deal and the process will continue." 'oliver' was in shock, nodding once again

"Please, please make me be able to see all colors. Make me normal, I don't want to be teased for anything anymore. I want to be like the other people at my school. Please." doe nodded sympathetically, though in her blank eyes, 'oliver' noticed a hint go mischievousness. they shook hands, and oliver became crow. he wasn't able to choose his animal, like doe had said, but he was fine with it and got used to it. for the next three years, crow followed doe around, really acting as her trainee, which he was also fine with. what he wasn't so happy with was the permanent crow wings in his humanoid form, and having regular eyes, nothing similar to doe.

as three years ended, the treaty ended and crow excitedly awaited his colorful sight, and normal life. but, nothing came. instead, his sight disappeared, and he felt the same. in reality, doe did nothing. didn't solve his problems, just made them worse. and he was still a demon, still had his shapeshifting abilities, still had everything (and worse) that doe said he wouldn't have. however, whenever he went to try and find doe, he searched for days, never able to find her, even with the help of his from-birth (a demon from birth) friend, grizzly. before he knew it, even grizzly left. crow had no idea where grizzly had escaped too, and eventually made his way back to his hometown. upon arriving home, he called out for his parents, but they didn't come to his calls. he searched through out his whole house, near tearing the place apart in search for them. he headed into town, hoping to ask around about his parents, but everyone ran from him, noticing his wings and pointy ears. people were scared of him, and he wasn't allowed into any businesses. he sulked back to his house, nearing tears as he walked into his old bedroom, sitting down on his bed and grabbing a picture frame with his parents wedding photo in it. with long and hard thinking, crow decided to fly from his hometown, in search of a new, more accepting place. with that, he did a final sweep of the house, in a silent goodbye to the place he grew up in, then shapeshifter into is crow form and flew far, far, away. into the very magical town of clare view point, where he happened upon the even more magical household of reese, eddie, and lyn.

and thats where he is now!
